Engagement session in Haleiwa, Hawaii
This is why Haleiwa is one of my favorite places in Hawaii, especially for photo sessions. There are vintage boutiques, rustic and artistic walls, loco gift shops, and beaches…I cannot mention everything but I love everything about Haleiwa. Staci and Jon are such a wonderful couple to be with, and we had so much fun together. Right away once we got to Haleiwa we ran into a construction wall that had beautiful artwork on it! It made me so excited and I stood up other side of road from the couple, screaming and embarrassing myself while directing the couple to “HOLD HAANDSS AND SMILEEEEE!!!!!!!”, along with “KISSNOWWWWW!!! DON’T BE SHYYY”, while cars were passing by between us and strangers looking at us..lol But they were brave enough to corporate with me to make it happen.
I always like it if my clients bring unique ideas into the photo session because I believe that their ideas bring a personal connection to each image, and they become more meaningful to the clients for the rest of their lives. Jon had the idea to take pictures at Matsumoto’s shave ice. (For those that don’t know about Matsumoto shave ice this is the first thing you should eat when you have a chance to go to Haleiwa.) And then, Staci also had an idea to wear hero T-shirts. Their ideas made the session more fun. In the end, the weather corporated perfectly, and my heart was full with their love and the beautiful sunset.
