Summer Vacation in Lanikai Pillboxes and beach in Hawaii
We’ve been living in Hawaii for more than three years now! I thought we have pretty much been to all the places in Hawaii, but we realized that we have never been to the Kailua side. We went there for our first time with our lovely friend, Halia, who is local, and who was the perfect tour guide for us.
We woke up early in the morning and started hiking. We were blown away, I cannot believe what I was seeing with my eyes. I looked around 360 degrees and every turn was full of magnificent beauty. Was I dreaming? What a beautiful island I live on. I should be more grateful for each of the moments of our life here. We will miss this after we leave here. Without any doubt, I can say the Kailua side is the most beautiful place in Hawaii we’ve been to so far. My husband and I started thinking that if we ever lived here in Hawaii after I finish school (no plans for now…lol) that this would be the place we would want to live.
We went to Lanikai beach after that. When my feet touched the sand it felt like it was flour. It was softest and whitest sand that I have ever seen. We enjoyed swimming there.
And after all those activities we were exhausted and hungry, so we went to Bob’s pizza for lunch. I loved the size and variety of the pizza, which was perfect because we were starving. This whole trip made a beautiful memory for us at the last of our summer break.
