DIY, classic, picnic | Wedding photos | Beach, Oahu, Hawaii

I have been looking forward to this for a long time. Sarah and RJ got married in January earlier this year. We started planning right away to do post wedding photos since Sarah did not have a chance to wear a wedding dress (but she got a beautiful traditional white Kimono from her grandma and her mother, and she looked beautiful), and they both wanted to have photos taken in Hawaii.
They are good friends of my husband and I. Sarah (the bride in pictures) and Sarah (me) have the same name and we are both half Japanese and American. We also both married Filipinos. We have so many similarities so we call each other twins! We always joke with each other about how our babies will look alike and become best friends because they have same blood (races). It is nice to have a friend like her who fully understands my feelings, passion, and is willing to listen my stories for forever. I am so happy for RJ and Sarah. I know they are meant to be together!
We prepared together a beach camping wedding theme for the pictures. We gathered some props (also made many DIY props such as paper bouquet for their opening house) which I will share in next blog. We also brought some of them to beach for the post wedding session.
Even thought we didn’t expect that there were going to be so many people camping at Hukilau beach, it did not matter in the end. We still got the perfect and best spots for the pictures. The lighting was really soft and beautiful. The reflection of light coming from the water and plants are absolutely fabulous.
When they are together they are always laughing! It hasn’t changed since they were dating! They are always laughing!! haha We got a lot of beautiful images of them posing, but I absolutely love the images of them running and spinning around together because I can see their real smiles and relationship like as I see always in them. They love and support each other, no matter what conditions they are in. They are a happy laughing couple!! I feel lifted every time I see them. I am so grateful to have wonderful friends and have the opportunity to capture these important moments of their life. Happy Ever After xoxo

Wow I’ve never seen a bouquet like that before, is it real? It’s lovely, and I LOVE the shots of them playing in the water! That’s true love right there, when it’s about the fun and not about keeping the dress clean. =)ReplyCancel
